Stoneware Amphora in Egyptian Blue

£45.00
Sold Out

This small Amphora is part of a collection inspired by pots from the ancient world. It has small lug handles, and were used to carry and transport oil and wine etc .. this is my little homage..and is finished in a flowing smooth Egyptian Blue glaze, with beautiful mottled variations

It is a functional vase, perhaps for a single striking bloom in the tradition of Ikebana. Although I wanted to make forms that stand alone for their sculptural interest as well.

It is a unique piece , hand thrown , turned, glazed and fired to 1220 degrees .

Height 11cm x Width 10cm
